Activities during the stay with the host family vary depending on the club, but past examples include the following: a welcome party at the host club, visiting a local school, participating in a festival and dancing the Bon Odori dance, a fireworks festival, swimming in the sea, mountain climbing and hiking, making Japanese soba noodles, experiencing Japanese calligraphy "SYODOU", visiting a Japanese castle, etc.
